Sorry – a word which can many times solve everything! But does this one word really mean something? You do a mistake, you say sorry and that’s it, all undone. You hurt someone and say sorry and expect the other person to forget everything. Or, just to fulfill your ego you want to hear a sorry to let down the other person! 

But I feel, sorry is not always the problem solver. This one small little word is just a word…. If you are really sorry for something, it shows, not through this word , but through your actions. Your face which is the mirror to your heart, your emotions. The person who knows you shall simply understand your feelings. If a relation is strong enough whose base stands on trust, grows with understanding and stays strong with faith, then words barely play any role. You just know it, you just feel it.  

Sometimes, we just say sorry to end a topic. To just get the discussion or an argument over. An argument is always easy but a discussion is tough. An argument is to find out ‘who’ is right and discussion is to find out ‘what’ is right.

So, when you get fed up after an argument you usually tend to say sorry, but you actually don’t mean it… it’s just a word to satisfy other persons ego and get rid of the situation.   

We teach our children to say these magical words like sorry and thankyou which are very essential in life to stay humble. We should definitely use these words as we grow up, but also find the deeper meaning behind them.

Sorry is not just a word, it is an emotion if you feel it. A word big enough to resolve misunderstandings, a word smaller than your ego.

When you say sorry, mean it! When someone says sorry to you, understand it! When someone is not able to say sorry to you, try to understand it even better!
