If gratitude was my neighbour,
I would pay a visit atleast once a day…
Peep in to say Hello
Soak in a little of its warmth
And fill my pockets with its gracious charm.

When its shadow cast upon my wall,
All the ego down shall fall
And when the sun goes up
All the brightness shall team up….

If gratitude was my neighbour,
It would have guests over,
Care compassion contentment concern
Would bring happiness and empathy all along..

I would knock in to ask for tea
Although so many, still they would make space for me…
With a heartful of such emotions
i come back to my little nest
Thinking that house was the best .

But…. looking around i witnessed a piece of emotion at every intersection
Every corner telling a tale of its own,
Some known and some unknown…
A beat struck in my heart which said aloud,
Not your neighbour i was here,

right underneath your cloud.
