Its not happening…. not happening… it is not going to happen…… Gosh!! I can’t do this, I am gonna fail. Did I do something wrong? Did I say something wrong? What must he/she be thinking about me. I did not intend to hurt someone. Why am I taken wrong all the time… Oh God… Oh God…. HELP!!!!!!
The butterflies in the stomach, the twinkling stars infront of your eyes, the clenching of fists, that annoying headache…. Its all anxiety…. Which all of us face sometime or the other. The nervousness when a school students result is going to be out, when you used to do some mischief and you feared of being caught by your parents. You grow old and with age the problems touch a whole new tangent. U feel anxious when you have a misunderstanding with your spouse, or a tiff with your in-laws and you feel like running away from there or like hiding somewhere forever. Where no one can see you or find you!!
But, how about overcoming all this with a few simple tricks!!
Accept it, you cant keep everyone happy. No matter what. you have to stay alive for atleast a few people who really love you. So why not live happily?
Peace, is within yourself, don’t go out searching for it. Make space to pull it from beneath, that bundle of sorrows, tensions and grudges. Let the peace component work for you , and you’ll realize you are walking hand in hand with it.
Ask yourself what makes you happy. Dancing, listening to music, eating, shopping, going for a walk, a drive or just sleeping. Try to sleep over your problems! Don’t give them so much space in your heart and mind that they overrule you and squeeze you. You sometimes feel so heavy that you cant even breathe, as if someone is trying to compress you. You feel the pain but can’t do anything about it because you are helpless. The more you think, the more it enlarges, laughs and engulfs you!!!
You are what you are, but you can be what you want to be. You don’t want to be unhappy for sure. Try to find a way out, Give yourself the ‘I am ok’ therapy!!
Mind is the greatest driving force. Don’t let anxiety over power you. Instead, you try to push it away by tuning yourself that you don’t have to invite trouble for yourself. Just let it pass smoothly, have patience and sleep over it. You haven’t seen the next day, its fresh, bright and new. Don’t take your previous days problems to bed. You bring the sunshine in so many lives, Expect from yourself, love yourself, make peace from within and here you go, a bright new sunny day smiling at you.
